“With 3 kids, we were beginning to feel like we were drowning in toys. The toys were over running the playroom and spreading like a plague throughout the entire house. It felt like I was spending my entire life picking up toys and couldn’t find anywhere to put them all. When I asked my kids to choose some toys to give to the less fortunate, they only came up with a used sticker and a deflated balloon. I called Devon and she gave me helpful strategies to get my kids to agree to part with some of their toys. Then she helped me divide my playroom into zones and organize what we were keeping. With her systems in place my life feels under control and my kids have been able to put their own toys away because there is space for everything! Devon is warm and kind and takes action to get your space under control. The work she did in one day would’ve taken me a month. “I called Devon the day before with anxiety and shame- I wanted to cancel. but she calmed me down and normalized what I was experiencing. When she arrived the next day, I felt excited and ready to tackle my organizational issue. First, she explored the physical space and asked questions about my goals. Second, she began working through the disorganization. It was clear she was listening and rearranged and organized items with these goals in mind. She took time to talk to me about organization; facts and tips about how to improve my organization in the future. It was evident she knew her stuff! The last thing she did was help me make decisions on objects. Do i really need or want this toy for my daughters? It was helpful. When completed the space looks amazing. I took the donations to savers and threw away the garbage. The project was complete in three hours! I have asked her to return- to work on my closets and meal prepping!
