Before Your Move: Decluttering and Packing

The easiest unpacking starts before the move. We can help you declutter first, so you only move what you want to keep, then carefully pack your belongings and keep everything grouped by room. When the boxes arrive at your new home, we already know where everything belongs.

How It Works

Book a free consult. We talk through your move date, your new space, and what matters most to you.
Get your plan. We recommend how many organizers and hours your move needs, and confirm your date.
Moving day and after. Your organizers arrive with a plan, unpack room by room, and put everything away.
Final walkthrough. Before we leave, we show you where everything lives so your new home is easy to use from day one.

Pricing

Half day sessions start at $300 and full day sessions start at $600. Larger moves can be quoted as a package so you know the total up front. Remodeling? We also pack up and put back rooms before and after a remodel, starting at $1,000 per room. Every project starts with a free consult so we can give you an accurate estimate.

These pictures represent real downsize and moving projects we worked on in Avon Lake and Lakewood, Ohio. Our team members can assist with the decision-making of downsizing and packing items up for the move. We work alongside movers and can make a referral to a trusted partner. The movers come in and pack things like your television, lamps and hanging pictures from your walls. They move all the furniture on moving day. We are present on the other side to help unpack and put items away just the way you like it. We are already familiar with your routines and where you normally keep things, ensuring a smooth process. Did you know that when movers “unpack” you they just put items out on flat surfaces (counters and tabletops) whereas professional organizers actually put your items away!

Unpacking & Move-In Organizing FAQ

How long does unpacking take?

It depends on the size of your home and how much you are bringing. Many moves take one to a few sessions. We will give you an estimate at your free consult.

Are you a moving company?

No. We are professional organizers, not movers. We work alongside your moving company: they bring your things in, and we unpack and put everything away.

Do I need to be home while you unpack?

You do not need to work alongside us the whole time, but it helps to be available for quick questions, especially at the start, so we can set things up the way you like.
